~ Hands On, Face to Face ~
There is nothing like receiving a something in the mail or meeting someone face-to-face. If you do not already have a system set up for your business to incorporate these methods of marketing and networking, do it ASAP! Before there were computers and before there was the Internet, there was good old fashioned mail, door to door sales and passing out business cards with a hand shake and slap on the back. Websites do not replace these methods of person-to-person interchange. It is VERY valuable!
HANDS ON ~
Newsletters, flyers, business cards, posters, bulk mail promotions, signs, banners, post cards, direct mail, and more. These things "feed" people towards your website. Keep people interested in you and your business. It keeps you on the top of their mental list for your type of service or retail item.
This is VERY important. You need to incorporate them into your daily, weekly & monthly business activities.
If you have an established business you probably have a mailing list.
SEND THEM STUFF!
If you are a new business; gather names, business cards, addresses, phone numbers etc. SEND THEM STUFF!
Note: It needs to GRAB their attention and communicate your message. It can't be trashy or it will end up in the trash. It does not have to be expensive or over-the-top to communicate your message.
